Last week’s Parent Social Event was vibrant and engaging, featuring seven club booths and a lively performance by the parents’ choir club. Approximately 160 parents attended, creating a warm and festive atmosphere.
Mayfair is our biggest and most spectacular day in the school calendar, and this year was incredible. Thousands of people from the BWYA community showed up in support of our two brilliant charities and enjoyed the gorgeous May sunshine.

‘Positive Discipline’ – Parent Book Club A grade 6 parent representative, Mdm. Deng Hanwen led twelve middle school parents in finishing the ‘Positive Discipline’ book and activities. Mdm. Deng prepared a lot of materials to help parents engage in the month-long event. The sharing of child-rearing practices was well-received and impactful. WASC & SLO Training Session On 6 December the primary and secondary schools’ PTA parent representatives participated in learning about the WASC accreditation process, and the school-wide self-study project hosted by the secondary school principal, Mr. Robert Wang. Subsequently, the primary school principal, Mr. Tim Sharpe led the parents in discussions with activities on the Student Learner’s Outcome. It was a rewarding experience for all the parents to engage in discussions and learning about the benefits of WASC accreditation.
