Alumni Connect: Vincent’s Journey from BWYA to Swiss Hospitality
After graduating, Vincent headed to Switzerland to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Global Hospitality Management at Les Roches. He has travelled a long way since his BWYA days, but one special memory stands out: a cultural trip where he spent a night in a cave, learning how to adapt and survive with limited resources. “It was challenging but so much fun,” he recalls.
Vincent’s first professional step was an internship at the Four Seasons Hotel in Geneva. “It was my first real job — long hours, heavy trays, and no lift!” he laughs. Despite the physical demands, Vincent embraced the experience, working 12-hour shifts and building resilience along the way.
Looking back, Vincent credits BWYA’s dedicated teachers and strong community for preparing him. “The teachers here teach with their whole heart. Make connections, practise your skills — you won’t find this experience anywhere else.”
