From Classroom to Career: Grade 10 Students Step Confidently Into the World of Work
This winter holiday, our Grade 10 students stepped beyond the classroom and into the professional world through the Internship Programme–a hallmark of our school’s commitment to experiential learning. Over 5–10 days and a minimum of 50 working hours, students independently secured placements in industries ranging from architecture and marketing to physics, psychology, theatre, and community care.
Supported by our University Counselling programme, each student met with the university counsellor before and after their internship to analyse interests, reflect on daily experiences, and integrate their learning with tools like the Morrisby Aptitude Assessment. This process guides their upcoming Diploma Programme subject choices and helps them shape future university and career aspirations with clarity and confidence.
What follows is a celebration of the dedication, curiosity, and passion our students demonstrated—a glimpse into the futures they are already starting to envision.
A Future Shaped by Experience
Whether analysing Wagyu markets, supporting children with autism, assisting theatre technicians, exploring sustainable materials, or developing educational content, our Grade 10 students demonstrated maturity, creativity, and a drive to make meaningful contributions.
We are committed to excellence and united by our shared values:
Compassion – We respect and empathise with the rights, opinions, culture, and feelings of others.
Trust – We believe that honesty, integrity, and reliability in ourselves and others forms the cornerstone of our community.
Solidarity – We value harmony and oneness whilst recognising the individuality of each person in our community.
Collaboration – We recognise that the development of the student is the shared responsibility between the student, the family, and the school.
