Anna, a BWYA alumna now studying Economics, Finance, and Art History at the University of Hong Kong, reflects warmly on her seven years at the academy. Her favourite memories include cultural trips to places like Jiangxi and Luoyang, where she explored pottery and tea traditions with classmates from diverse backgrounds. She also fondly recalls service projects and outdoor activities like climbing, which helped build teamwork and lasting friendships. These experiences, she says, were not only fun but deeply formative.
Now participating in a visiting programme at Peking University, Anna appreciates the chance to connect with students from top global institutions and learn alongside peers from Chinese mainland. She shares how the IB programme shaped her into a reflective, adaptable learner—skills she finds invaluable in university life. Her advice to younger students is to balance academics with joy: take time to socialise, seek support from teachers, and embrace the full experience BWYA offers.
