Medals and Momentum: Our Young Runners Shine!

Medals and Momentum: Our Young Runners Shine

On Saturday, October 11th, the International School of Beijing hosted the ISAC Cross Country Championship for elementary schools — and what a day it was! With crisp autumn air and a buzzing crowd of supporters, young athletes from across the city gathered to test their speed, stamina, and spirit on the course.

The event featured runners from age groups U8 to U11, each tackling their own challenging distance with determination and heart. It was more than just a race — it was a celebration of perseverance, teamwork, and the joy of movement.

We’re incredibly proud of our runners who gave it their all and brought home medals in a fiercely competitive field:

Jacob Zhu blazed his way to 3rd place in the U8 Boys category.
Gary Lei and Felix Yuan crossed the finish line together, tying for 2nd place in the U9 Boys race.
James Xiong powered through to earn 3rd place in the U10 Boys division.
Tiger Wan showed true grit, securing 3rd place in the U11 Boys category.

Each runner, whether medallist or not, demonstrated incredible effort and sportsmanship. Their energy and enthusiasm lit up the course and inspired everyone watching.

Catch the full vibe and behind-the-scenes moments in our vlog recap, featuring race footage, interviews, and some unforgettable finish-line celebrations.
