AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES
LEARN SOMETHING NEW!
Interested in science, robotics or electronic music? We have a club for that. Want to write news articles, produce TV shows or podcasts? We have a club for those as well. BWYA offers over 80 clubs and afterschool activities and we are adding more all the time, many of which are student-led. We are sure that we can offer all of our students something that piques their interest outside of the classroom. Club fair times and magazines will be released before each club season begins!

CLUB POLICIES
Secondary school students will have the opportunity to try the trial class during club fair. Please choose your favorite clubs and once the payment is completed, clubs can not be changed.
As the regular school bus departs at 4:00pm, club participants will be unable to use this service. However, we have arranged for a shuttle bus to take secondary and upper primary school students to the following Line 14 subway stations after clubs finish: Laiguangying, Donghuqu, Wangjing, Futong, Wangjing South, and Jiangtai.
Lower Primary School students must be picked up by parents right after the club. If parents are consistently late to collect their child, it may result in removal from the club programme.
Clubs must have a minimum of 8 students for the club to run.
Any club with more than 20 students participating will have two adult supervisors.
Student-led clubs will have an adult supervisor at all times.
If a club leader has a family or health concern and suddenly needs to cancel a club, the school will arrange for a new teacher to take over or for students to move to a new club. Clubs will not be cancelled due to pollution or weather. In these cases, a related indoor lesson will be provided.
In most cases, the club fee is not refundable once the payment is completed. Please contact the Office of Enrichment and Publications if you need to drop out, and your case will be reviewed.
To demonstrate the value of our clubs, there will be a club exhibition at the end of each club season. Clubs will be required to show their progress through assessment tasks. This may be something they have made or designed, performances, videos, posters, field trip reflections, or other creative ways of demonstrating progress and learning. Parents and peers will be invited to the exhibition to get an idea of what other clubs provide.
