WHAT IS THE DofE INTERNATIONAL AWARD?
Available in over 120 countries, the Award is open to all—regardless of background, ability, or location. It offers a globally respected framework for personal growth through non-formal education, encouraging participants to challenge themselves and grow beyond the classroom.
By taking part, young people become part of a global movement, developing confidence, resilience, and a sense of purpose. Whether through volunteering, physical activity, skill-building, or adventurous journeys, each experience is a step toward shaping a meaningful future.

WHAT AWARDS CAN YOU CHOOSE FROM?
SECTIONS OF THE AWARD
To win DofE award, participants must complete four main sections. Each section is designed to develop different life skills and personal qualities. The required time commitments vary by award level (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
Volunteering: Contribute to your community or help others.
Physical Recreation: Improve fitness, learn new physical skills, and promote a healthy lifestyle.
Skills: Develop practical, technical, or creative skills.
Adventurous Journey: Plan, train for, and complete a challenging outdoor expedition.
Residential Project (Gold level only): Participate in a group activity away from home to develop independence and collaboration.
