University Counselling

Deciding on which university is best for your child, and then navigating through the applications process, is a challenge for any parent,so here at BWYA we have a dedicated, full-time University Counsellor who is available to offer advice and guidance throughout the process.

Mr CharLee Racine has been BWYA’s University Counsellor since 2013, helping students to secure university places in the US, UK, Canada, Korea, and beyond. He personally holds degrees from University of California, Berkeley, University of California, San Diego (US) and a Post-graduate Certificate of Education from the University of Sunderland (UK). He has also represented BWYA at the International Association for College Admission Counseling annual conference.

Mr. Racine begins working with students in Grade 9 in order to help them and their parents to be well prepared and competitive when the application process begins.

Student Counselling

Whether you are a parent or student, we all need someone we can talk to from time to time and BWYA’s full-time specialist Student Counsellor is available for the entire BWYA community.

Our Student Counsellor, Ms Veronica Ho, is an experienced and active member of the Beijing counseling community, serving both local and international members in her practice. She possesses both a post graduate degree from the Wesley Institute, and an Australian qualification in Dance Movement Therapy. Veronica provides traditional counseling services as well as dance and play therapy.

The primary focus of Veronica’s work is children, adolescents and women. Her goal is to help others build healthy self-esteem and essential life coping skills thus preparing them to manage major life transitions, achieve their goals and live life to the fullest
