Here is an overview of VisionExpo:

General Rules

  • VisionExpo is open to EVERY student from Grade 6 to DP2 at the BWYA IB campus
  • No entry fee is required for VisionExpo
  • Images that have won prizes in other competitions or have been submitted to other competitions currently underway are eligible
  • There are no restrictions on the date of a photograph
  • Photographs that have been shared on social media channels, such as Facebook, Wechat, and Instagram, are still acceptable for this contest

Timeframe (IMPORTANT)

  • Shortlist announcement: March.6th to April.17th (once a week)
  • Deadline for submission: April.14th, 2017
  • Exhibition: April.21st, 2017 (preliminary date) (during which all shortlisted photographs will be evaluated by Jury Panel)
  • Award ceremony: after Culture Trip

Categories & Themes (IMPORTANT)

(meaning there is no special requirement on submitted photos, as long as participants follow the general themes)

  1. City & Architecture

Photographs in this category should capture architecture of different styles and form, or views of any city.

  1. Portrait

Photographs to enter this category will be pictures of people (with appropriate clothing)

  1. Food

These photographs will contain food of any kind. Food from different cultures is especially welcome

(meaning submitted photos should be BWYA-related and participants should keep up with the themes as well)

  1. The Most Beautiful Corner in BWYA

Photographs in this category should be taken in BWYA

  1. Best Portrait in BWYA

Photographs in this category should be taken for someone, including teachers, from BWYA in 2016

  1. Story Behind the Shot

Photographs in this category should show an interesting story that happened in BWYA; participants are required to write a short paragraph outlining the story behind the photographs.

  1. FIVE to EIGHT shortlisted photographs in each category (SIX categories in total)
  2. TOP THREE in each category
  3. ONE Photo of 2017
