Extra-Curricular Programme

The purpose of our extra-curricular programme is that each child should be able to fulfill their desire to be involved with an activity which allows them their personal best.
Students are able to share their skills and talents with other members of the BWYA community through participation in school events such as sports day, annual Christmas concert, drama performances, swimming competition and May fair.

Our extra-curricular programme is made up of many different kinds of clubs. These clubs include team sports, art, music, drama, foreign language studies and many more. At BWYA Middle school we have our Community & Service programme (C&S), where student participate in activities outside the academic world. Creativity, Action, Service (CAS) is a fundamental requirement of the IB Diploma Programme at BWYA High school, where students run their own project or volunteer to help out at school events.

• Following our success at Bratislava Music Festival 2009, this year our junior choir is entering for the 16th International Choral Competition, July 1st to 4th at Preveza, Greece.

  29-05 May Fair

• The May Fair features garage sales, food and drink, performances, games and marathon. As parents, you can support us by donating RMB150 for a tree, sponsoring a student performance, doing charity sales with your child, or just joining us for the day to have a look around and socialize with the BWYA community. Your participation is very much appreciated. This is our charity drive to raise money to help Guangai Orphanage start a fruit orchard. You are all invited to join this May Fair on Saturday, May 29 from 08:45 at Wangjing Campus

  28-05 Graduation Ceremony

• The graduating class of BWYA invites you to their Graduation Ceremony on Friday, May 28 at 1PM at the 21st Century hotel.

  21-05 Personal Project

• For months each student has worked on their personal project, under the supervision of a teacher. The peronsal project is a significant piece of work that is the product of the student's own initiative and creativity. Each project must reflect a personal understanding of the areas of interaction. Students apply the skills acquired through one of these areas as well as approaches to learning.
  The Personal Project Exhibition is being held on Friday, May 21 from 4 to 6 PM at Wangjing Campus.

  23-04 DP2 Art Exhibition

• The DP2 Art Exhibition will commence on Wednesday 21st April 2010 , and finish on Friday 23rd Apri 2010l, when you are invited to a Cheese and Wine Evening of Art, starting at 5pm and finishing about 8pm. This will be a further opportunity to show-case the talents of our students.
